I write poems because . . .

___ocean_of_sorrows____by_esotericillusion-d9gzke3

I write poems because I have seen the ocean.

Where beneath,
rests a shipwreck of emotions,
pestering the seabed of my dreams,
putrefying its own soul.

I write poems because I have seen the ocean.

Where I once lost
a black pearl somewhere,
in the heart of Mariana Trench,
yearning to find its oyster.

I write poems because I have seen the ocean.

Where beautiful mermaids
play melodious music of the waves,
with the brush of fingers on a magical harp,

in search of another life, unknown.

I write poems because I have seen the ocean.
~ conspiring its secrets to discover another undiscovered ocean.”
