Archer’s Arrow ———>

This poem evolved out of the line – “But like love the archers are blind” from the poem ‘Before The Dawn’ by Federico Garcia Lorca.

Archer’s Arrow ———>

Blinded by innocence I missed an escape,
trapped in that ‘swoosh’ of her arrow.

The pale thump in my chest entombed pain.
A tormented life within me, confined.

Not cursing the act destined.
But like love the archers are blind.
